This is the best “poster” I could find that advertised for the film.  Apparently, it didn’t have a lot of press surrounding it’s release.  Probably because it is a made-for-TV movie.  I didn’t realize that during my initial viewing.

Story/Writing: 1/2

A naive column writer for “The Daily Beast”, a London newspaper, is caught up in a case of mistaken identity and sent off to cover a military dispute in a fictional country.  Too few good jokes and too many characters make it hard to follow for an entire two hours.

Acting: 1.5/2

The characters that are available, however, are pretty fun on their own.  Denholm Elliot, whom some of you will recognize for his role in a certain pair of American blockbusters, is a lot of fun in his role as the cheif foreign correspondent.

Photography/Set: 1.5/2

Standard faire, and by far not the focus.

Sound/FX: 1.5/2

Same as above, it’s mostly plot and character-driven, for whatever that’s worth.

Misc: 1/2

Just falls short of being on the B-list of British comedies.

VERDICT: 6.5/10

If you like lukewarm Brit-coms, than you’re in luck!
