Back to the German films, and this one is pretty awesome as well.

Communicative writing manages to craft a wonderful psychological thriller while keeping on screen violence to a minimum.
Acting: 2/2
Peter Lorre is featured in his breakout role as the sheepish murderer at the center of the story. Although his unique character caused him to be somewhat typecast afterwards, it was still an extremely good performance.
Photography/Set: 1.5/2
A really good job. There are a lot of stylistic techniques that are quite ahead of their time for when the film was made.
Sound/FX: 1.5/2
Again, some stuff works and some doesn’t. The quality throughout is very good for the time, showing quite a bit of production value and a lot of attention to detail.

Year of Films 
this is one of my favorite movies, I loved how they wrote an M on his coat with a chalk, such a great idea. I think it still holds up pretty well considering it was made in 1931.
Yeah, the highlight for me was the acting and photography.
