Frost/Nixon- August 20th

Frost/Nixon (2008)
English- Drama
Rated “R”
Runtime- 123 min.
dir. Ron Howard

Son of a gun, I wish politics was still this exciting!

Story: 1.5/2

So, Watergate was kind of a big deal, as expressed in All the Presidents Men. The reason that the Frost interviews were so important was because they were Nixon’s first since he was out of office after the scandal.

Acting: 2/2

Great casting, even outside of a lot of the principle roles.

Photography: 1.5/2

Pretty good for a political drama. A lot if deep and shallow framing dynamics that are typical of the genre.

Sound: 1.5/2

Most of the video overlay effects did a good job of obtaining that “dated” period look.

Misc: 1.5/2

Kind of starts to drag a little in the middle, especially because of the buildup for the entire first act.

VERDICT: 8/10
