Daniel Day-Lewis is a crazy person, and I absolutely cannot wait to see him in Lincoln.
It can get rather complicated at times, but it’s still a really good commentary on the dog-eat-dog side capitalism.
Fantastic principles, but poor ensemble.
Stark, realistic sets, but the cinematography can get a little strange and confusing. It never really gives the audience much time to acclimate.
Visceral effects complimented by good sound work. You really get a feel for the low-down dirty filthiness of the characters’ world. The soundtrack is good, too.
Is it weird that I almost had fun watching this very violent and harsh film?
