All the President’s Men- July 29th

All the President’s Men (1976)
English- Political Drama
Rated “PG”
Runtime- 139 min.

I knew what this movie was about, but I guess I didn’t know how it was actually going to play out as far as sticking to the facts.  If you haven’t seen it , this film is easily on par with any historical drama out there.

Story/Writing: 2/2

Basically, the plot follows the events that transpired immediately after the Watergate burglary in 1972.

Acting: 2/2

Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman are truly a dynamic duo, lighting up the screen with their presence.  The ensemble cast does a good job of backing up this effort.

Photography/Set: 1.5/2

The shooting style is stark and decidedly clean, but the sets feel unrealistic and too repetitive.

Sound/FX: 1.5/2

As good as the cinematography, but still not the best.

Misc: 1.5/2

Might move slow for some, I had to watch it in two sittings.

VERDICT: 8.5/10

Fantastic for film students and presidential history buffs.
