For April 13th- Dad Savage

Rundown: Patrick Stewart is a crime lord using a tulip farm as a front for his operations.  His entire world is put in jeopardy when he places too much trust into his son’s scheming friends.

Story/Writing: 1.5/2

The plot is revealed to the audience in sections and flashbacks.  Everyone has their differing alibis concerning the major turning point in the story.

Acting: 2/2

All of the characters are vibrant and violent in their motives and actions.

Photography/Set: 2/2

All of the sets are rustic and real-feeling.  A lot of attention was paid to the set dressing and  framing choices.  The factor of continuity is also shown to be important, especially when each of the characters tells their side of what happened.

Sound/FX: 1.5/2

Good gun effects and the music is okay.

Misc: 1/2

Not a bad gritty drama if you’re okay with the speed at which it moves.

Watchable for film people or fans of non-Star Trek Patrick Stewart.
